MARCH 2, noon

The 2015 Texas Author Series presented by the Friends of the Abilene Public Library at the downtown library features Carmen Goldthwaite, Fort Worth, author of two books on Texas women. The program is free. Lunch is served at 11:45 for $5 (no reservation needed) or attendees may bring their own. Book signing and purchase available.

 

MARCH 10, 7:30 p.m.

The Broadway in Abilene series presents the musical “Camelot” at the Abilene Civic Center. Recount the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table in this four-time Tony Award-winning show that includes the songs “If Ever I Would Leave You” and the title song “Camelot.”

MARCH 12 – ArtWalk theme: CarWalk

5-8 p.m.

A celebration of the design, muscle and nostalgia of cars will feature local car fanciers and their favorite mechanical “works of art.”
Bring the family to historic downtown where restaurants, shops, museums and galleries away you!

Steppin’ Out for Memories

The western-themed dinner, dance and auction always attracts a crowd of folks Steppin’ Out to eat, dance and bid on a variety of irresistible items.  This year the fabulous Almost Patsy Cline Band from Bandera, Texas, will give everyone a reason to get up and dance.
