A Skele-ton of Smiles

October 19, 2026 Leave a Comment

The lives of Mr. and Mrs. Bones began out of a desire to connect with our neighbors during October of 2020. Many people were taking walks outside, and I wanted to give them something to smile about during the uncertainty of that time period. I posted their story on Facebook as well, which brought smiles to friends near and far. Many skeleton displays are frightening. My main goal was to spread positivity, so my skeleton family is only joyful and silly, never gory or scary.

I created a love story of these newlyweds that has blossomed through the years. Mrs. Bones went through a full pregnancy in October 2021! (She tried for a home birth, but she ended up going to the hospital for a few days.) They now have a dog and two children with another one joining this year. Neighbors ask about “the skeleton family” year round, and we all work together to keep their story going.
