The Day Nursery of Abilene “True Heroes” celebration was held on Tuesday, March 19th, in the exhibit hall of the Abilene Civic Center. Nearly 1100 joined the celebration to hear Peyton Manning, Super Bowl-winning and current Denver Bronco Quarterback and four-time NFL MVP, as the featured guest speaker. His keynote address focused on overcoming life’s contests and delivered a challenge to the crowd to financially support the Day Nursery of Abilene which benefits children, families and the community. Preschool-age children attending the Day Nursery of Abilene centers were featured on the event video which recapped the agency’s history and challenged attendees to “be a hero.”
