ArtWalk: Upside Down and Inside Out

A monthly, themed arts festival in downtown Abilene presented by the Center for Contemporary Arts, this month exploring how the arts express emotion. For details visit center-arts.com.

Grace After Dark

Food trucks 6–7 p.m.; Film begins at 7 p.m.

Enjoy rooftop screenings of international short films from the 24fps. Curated by the Paramount Theatre. Limited to 100; adults 18 years of age and older.

Feb. 19, 6 p.m.

Around the World at The Grace. Guests will enjoy a new concept that will feature the decor, food, drink and music of six different countries – Brazil, Cuba, Germany, Italy, Republic of Texas and Thailand. Tickets are $100.

Watercolor Art Class with Artist Tamberley Thomas*

Join The Grace Museum for a Watercolor Art Class featuring artist Tamberley Thomas. This class is open to all skill levels, supplies provided with expert instruction. $20 members/$25 non-members.

Adapted from Rudyard Kipling’s classic children’s book, “The Jungle Book” tells the tale of Mowgli, a boy raised in the jungle by wolf parents and educated by a black panther and Baloo the bear. This memorable show at the Paramount Theatre is filled with action, drama comedy and music!

“Bullets Over Broadway” is a musical with big laughs and colorful characters written by Woody Allen and based on his film of the same name. The show is about a young playwright whose first Broadway play is financed by a gangster.

“Pinkalicious” the musical is back by popular demand at the Paramount Theatre! Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Soon she turns pink from head to toe and must figure out how to get of this hilarious predicament. Based on the children’s book series.

April 16, 7:30 p.m.

“Masterworks IV – A Night at the Opera” at the Abilene Civic Center showcases four world-class singers – soprano Jennifer Youngs, soprano Molly Fillmore, tenor William Joyner, baritone Jeffrey Snider – performing famous arias, duets and vocal ensembles by Verdi, Puccini, Bernstein and Bizet from the great operas “La Traviata,” “Tosca,” “La Bohème,” “Candide,” “Carmen” and more! Concert conversation with Music Director David Itkin at 6:45 p.m.
