The weekend of September 24th was the first of many in a blazing whirl of Football and fun this fall. The HSU Spurs had our first home game (complete with additional pep rally performance) and Abilene Scene Magazine had our second annual Bridal Event!
To top it off, guess what else I squeezed in? You got it. The Abilene Beer Summit. I was originally opting to find a different event to write about and rest at home Saturday night, but my husband loves craft beer and I couldn’t just let him go alone now could I?
I ended up being so incredibly glad that I went. It’s such a unique event to have in Abilene was glad I didn’t miss it. I felt like I was in Austin or the Metroplex as soon as I walked in. I couldn’t believe how many breweries were represented, and each brewery brought 2-3 brews with them. This event could last for days and you still wouldn’t be able to taste everything it had to offer.
Curious? Check out their website.
The stand outs for me were the Ace Pumpkin Cider, the Bishop Honey Cider and the Community Mosaic IPA.
Check out this cute mini tasting cup? How fun, right?!
As crazy as my schedule felt this weekend everything went as smoothly as it possibly could. If you missed the Beer Summit or the Bridal Event, don’t worry they’ll both be back next year. But you should know that you might want to buy your tickets early! Both events were full and you wouldn’t want to miss them two years in a row, now would you?
FOMO is real. Buy your tickets early.
ALSO: Check out the lovely models that walked our bridal show on Sunday? Don’t you wish you were there to witness their poise and grace as we attempted to get them inside without ruining dresses in the rain?
