It’s a week into December but there are still plenty of Christmas festivities to enjoy! These are a few community events we hope to attend.
Dec. 10, 5-8 p.m.
ArtWalk: Santa’s Sensational Soiree
A monthly, themed arts festival in downtown Abilene presented by the Center, this month featuring an opportunity for children to write and deliver letters to Santa and his elves in person at the Center.

“It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” making its Abilene premier. Adapted by Joe Landry. A 1940s radio broadcast that brings a few dozen characters to the stage about a fateful Christmas Eve.
Cost is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, military and students. Group rates of 10 or more. Tickets on sale for season ticket holders start Nov. 30 and to the general public Dec. 7. Box office hours 1-5 p.m.

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical” comes to the Abilene Civic Center from Texas-based Wishing Star Productions, LLC. Company president and principal investor in the musical is theater veteran and Abilene resident Douglas M. LoPachin.
