Gardening is hard work.  Successful Gardening is even harder. Some of us have a green thumb.  Some of us on the other hand, try as we might, can’t grow a thing.  Not a single thing.

Some have come to a level of acceptance with their black thumbs and forgo house plants and gardening all together. But a few determined others might have a long list of victims because they just can’t give up on their serial need to try again and yet again to keep something green. If you love plants and can’t seem to keep them, or if you like the idea of plants but don’t want to invest the time and energy it takes to grow them properly, we think we have a few ideas.

Succulents.  Related to the cactus, a succulent garden might be just the thing to combat a care-taker that regularly forgets to water their plants. They still require some care and might not be indestructible but they are fairly hardy and very beautiful.

5-Tips-for-growing-succulents

A couple lists of other hardy plant never hurt anyone.  Unlike the self-sufficient variety these can die but they aren’t picky or puny so all they should require is a little determination.

13 Hardy House Plants that are Virtually Impossible to Kill

And last but not least, for those of you that are successful at killing the aforementioned unkillable… Here are a few last ditch efforts that you might want to try before you give up on plants completely.  There gadgets that make a ‘self-sufficient’ plant. Who knew? Take a look:
